New Hampshire House Concurrent Resolution 6: A Resolution affirming States’ rights based on Jeffersonian principles.
Although largely symbolic at this point, these efforts by some states to break away and affirm their independence may take on a more functional role should the union of the United States of America fall into economic and/or social disorder from the current economic crisis.
As conditions continue to deteriorate, it will be interesting to watch states like New Hampshire to see if and how they will implement these resolutions to affirm their rights over a deteriorating union.
